Remington 700 BDL Stainless – 7mm RUM – 26” Barrel – Only 10 Rounds Fired

Hunters and distance shooters have long praised the Remington 700 for its accuracy and the strength of its “three rings of steel”.  The rifle has been made in a wide variety of calibers and there are an almost endless amount of after-market upgrades and accessories. For those times when you really want to consider taking a long shot on large game, you might consider the 7mm Remington Ultra Mag.  High terminal energy and superior ballistics give you the confidence to take the long shot on an animal that might be outside ethical range of lighter ammo. Our consignment rifle (serial #; S6394397) is chambered in 7mm Remington Ultra Mag and the 26 inch barrel will wring every bit of distance and velocity from the cartridge.

This Model 700 BDL Stainless Synthetic has a matte stainless barrel, receiver and bolt.  Normally, you can tell the production year on most Model 700 rifles by the date code on the left side of the barrel.  However, not all 700s are stamped and this rifle is one of those that isn’t.  The 7mm RUM caliber wasn’t offered until 2001 and this particular variant was only produced until 2004, so our rifle was made somewhere in that 3 year window.

The 700 BDL Stainless was designed as an all-weather rifle with corrosion resistant stainless finish.  The black synthetic stock is checkered to allow for a good grip and control.  The stock features sling swivel studs at the front and rear, while a solid Remington recoil pad sits at the rear of the stock.  A hinged floorplate makes unloading very easy without having to cycle the bolt and the magazine is capable of holding 4 rounds.

The owner of the rifle reports that he’s fired exactly 10 rounds through the rifle and the condition shows that to be an accurate statement.  The bore, barrel and rifling are all in Mint condition.  The metal finish is Near Mint with only 1 slight mark on the barrel near the muzzle.  It’s minor but we’re calling it out to make sure that our description is complete.  We’ve included a photo of that.  The stock shows maybe some very light storage marks and the recoil pad is Near Mint also.  The action, as expected, is silky smooth.  The trigger is light and crisp with no takeup.

This very popular model is truly in Near Mint condition.  It hasn’t even been broken in yet!  If you’re after a solid, accurate, reputable model of rifle in a caliber that will let you take the largest of North American game, look no further.  We think that rifle is right here.
